Heartland Weimaraner Rescue is honored to have been selected as 1 of only 500 rescue groups and shelters nationwide to participate in the Purina Pro Plan's Rally to Rescue Program. As a part of the program to promote the adoption of rescue animals a "Rally to Rescue" t-shirts, and collar -bracelet sets have been designed to sell, which in turn assist that group in raising the much needed funds to continue their own rescue efforts. You think you want a Weimaraner?
There are many important things to learn, and ask before adding a Weimaraner to your family. Learn about their temperament, and what a Weimaraner requires from you as family member. The Weimaraner Standard describes the breed temperament as friendly, fearless, alert, and obedient, but this is but the half of its personality. Assertive, bold, loyal, and headstrong also fit, giving the dog a loving attitude with a willingness to take the upper paw in the family if the opportunity presents itself. Carefully research the breed before getting one.
