Reason you must surrender your dog.
Depending on the numbers of dogs we currently have in foster, will determine when we would be able to accept your dog for foster. If we are full, you may be asked to foster your dog until we have room, or until we locate the RIGHT home for your dog.
We want to assure you that we are very picky about where our rescue dogs are placed. Once we accept your dog into rescue, we make a lifetime commitment to your dog. If for any reason the dog has to be surrendered, the dog is returned to Heartland Weim Rescue (by contract.)
Families wanting to adopt a weim MUST complete an Adoption Application, we we ask them many questions, references, and do Home Visits to ensure proper placement of the dogs. It does no one any good to improperly place a dog, only to have it returned in a month. Our first concern is for the dogs, NOT the families wanting them. We make every attempt to place a dog back into as close the atmosphere as they are used to, such as children etc.
If you need to surrender your dog, please copy, paste the questions and your answers to an e-mail and send to the Coordinator for that state, the information is below.
